NBFL Solidarity Awards

Funded by AIL Canada, a unionized insurance provider whose New Brunswick employees are represented by CEP Local 247, the NBFL Solidarity Awards serve to promote greater awareness and understanding of unions.
Applicants must be pursuing post secondary education on a full-time basis or be enrolled in high school at the Grade 12 level or in the General Education Development (GED) program.
Applicants must return a completed application form and comply with all entry rules. The deadline for receipt of entries is 15 June each year. The winners will be notified when the decision is reached by the New Brunswick Federation of Labour and official announcement of the winner will be made by the Secretary-Treasurer of the New Brunswick Federation of Labour.

- Application forms must be accompanied by one of the following:
- An essay of 1,000 or more words on the theme “The Value of Unions to Workers and Society”.
- A work of art (painting, song, poem, poster or sculpture) depicting “The Value of Unions to Workers and Society” together with an essay of 500 words interpreting this theme.
This section will publish the essays of all award recipients.
